Discover the legacy of Frida Kahlo in the historic neighborhood of Coyoacán and go on a traditional trajinera ride in Xochimilco on this tour of Mexico City.
Coyoacán & Xochimilco Tour
Between 8:30 and 9:00 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mexico City and head to the neighborhood of Coyoacán, the most bohemian district of the Mexican capital.
We'll begin our tour of Coyoacán by visiting the Church of San Juan Bautista and the iconic fountain of the Coyotes, followed by a stroll through the picturesque cobblestone streets of this neighborhood.
The tour will continue next to the Frida Kahlo House-Museum, better known as La Casa Azul, where we'll admire the exterior of this strikingly colorful home and discuss the legacy of one of the most famous Mexican painters of all time.
After visiting the Coyoacán area, we'll continue our tour of Mexico City by heading to the district of Xochimilco. There, we'll enjoy a peaceful ride on a trajinera, a typical boat that can be seen cruising the canals in this area of the city.
At the end of the trajinera ride through Xochimilco, we'll head to the Ciudad Universitaria, the university area of Mexico City. There we'll check out the Rectorate Tower and the Central Library, where we'll admire a mural painted by Juan O'Gorman. We'll also see the mural of the Olympic University Stadium, painted by Diego Rivera.
From the university area, we'll return to your hotel in Mexico City, where we'll arrive at 2 pm.
This tour only includes pickup from hotels located in the following tourist areas of Mexico City: historic center, Reforma, Polanco, Zona Rosa & WTC.
