Our adventure begins as we pick you up from your hotel in Muscat, heading northwest into the Arabian Peninsula. A scenic hour-long drive brings us to Nakhl, a quintessential village in the Al Batinah region.
Upon arrival, our first destination is the largest fortress in Oman, constructed in the 17th century. Perched on a vast rocky surface, the fortress showcases a pre-Islamic architectural style influenced by the Al Ya'ruba and Al Bu Sayed dynasties. From its summit, enjoy breathtaking views of Nakhl and its surroundings.
Proceeding to explore the hidden spring behind the castle, nestled within a palm grove, we unveil the source of this oasis—thermal waters that nourish the plantations in the area with essential minerals.
Returning to Muscat along the coastal route, we make a stop at the Seeb souk and Avenue Mall for some shopping in the capital.
