Roaming at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Amboseli elephants cross the savannah- meet them and other wild animals on this private safari from Nairobi!

Amboseli National Park Safari

After picking you up from your hotel in Nairobi, we'll leave the Kenyan capital behind and head to the south of the country. Located on the border with Tanzania, we can find one of the most spectacular natural environments in this region of Africa: the Amboseli National Park, which has also been declared a biosphere reserve due to its exceptional environmental heritage.

Once we've taken in the outstanding surroundings, we'll start our unforgettable safari around Amboseli. On our trip, we'll see a convoy of colossal elephants, one of the many African elephant herds that tend to roam around the park's savannah. In the background, the snowy peak of Mount Kilimanjaro looks on. Although located in Tanzania, the unmistakable silhouette of this highest point of Africa (5895 m/ 19340 ft) can be seen from throughout the national park.

Is there anything better than seeing elephants at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro on your trip to Kenya? We think so! And so we'll make our way to Lake Amboseli, which is often frequented by flamingos and other birds. Seeing all of this action, you'll surely work up an appetite, so we'll take a stop at one of the park's hotels (Ol Tukai Lodge or Tawi Lodge, depending on availability) to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch with local delicacies.

After lunch, we'll head to other areas of Amboseli to see giraffes, leopards, lions, buffalos and other wild animals that live in this ecosystem. To end the day with a bang, we'll visit a Maasai village to learn about the customs and traditions of this semi-nomadic ancestral community. Finally, after sharing experiences and interacting with the local community, we'll return to your hotel in Nairobi.
