Sóller Train and Tram

At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up in Palma and from there we’ll travel by bus to the north of Mallorca. Are you ready to discover two of the most beautiful towns on the Balearic Islands?

After a road trip of approximately 1 hour, we’ll arrive in the town of Puerto de Sóller. Once there, you’ll have about 1 hour of free time to stroll through this beautiful coastal town, enjoying the charm of its streets and its pier. On the boardwalk, we’ll board a beautiful wooden tram. Did you know it was inaugurated in 1913?

This vintage mode of transportation will take us in just 30 minutes to the historic center of Sóller. Upon arriving in this town, one of the most beautiful in Mallorca, you’ll have about 1 hour of free time to stroll through its old town and admire notable landmarks such as the parish church of Sant Bartomeu. On its façade, you’ll notice the Modernist touch added by architect Joan Rubió, a disciple of Gaudí.

The town features other Modernist works by Rubió, such as the Banco de Sóller. You’ll also see stately homes and palaces built between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when Mallorcan merchants made their fortunes trading oranges in France. Did you know that during that period, King Alfonso XIII granted Sóller the title of city?

After exploring the old town at your own pace, we’ll head to the station to board the wooden train of Sóller, which, like the tram, also dates back to the early 20th century. On this iconic railway, we’ll traverse the Sierra de Tramuntana through rugged mountains, the scent of orange blossoms, lush forests, and magnificent panoramic views.

After a train ride of about 30 minutes, we’ll arrive at the Bunyola station. There, the bus will be waiting to take us back to the various hotels and pickup points in Palma, where we’ll conclude this 5-hour trip.

Pickup Info

When you make your reservation, you’ll see a dropdown list with different hotels and pickup points in Palma and the surrounding area. If your accommodation isn’t on that list or you’re not staying in the capital of Mallorca, we can also pick you up at Camí de l’Escullera in Palma.
