Free Walking Tour of Paris
Paris sits on the banks of the River Seine and was built over 2 thousand years of fascinating history. From Gallic origins to Roman conquerers, through opulence, bloody revolution, raging war and much more. Paris has experienced so much throughout its many centuries, and thanks to our expert English-speaking tour guide you'll be able to learn all about the story of this enchanting city.
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Hotel de Ville metro stop, right next to the metro exit. During this free walking tour, we'll visit some of the most important landmarks around the city, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral (made famous via movies and popular culture), Pont Neuf, The Louvre, (home to the Mona Lisa and many other famous works), the Arc de Triomphe, and the Musée d'Orsay to name but a few.
Our expert tour guide will reveal to us the history of each monument we visit, as well as many interesting facts about the city in general. From its original as a small medieval village to becoming the capital of Napoleon's empire, from the infamous French Revolution to La Belle Époque and the Nazi Occupation during World War II in 1940. This tour will bring to life the fervent history of Paris, and will undoubtedly leave you lusting for more. Another visit perhaps? Surely!
Finally, this free walking tour of Paris will come to an end at the renowned Tuileries Gardens.
