Manet, Renoir, Monet... Buying a ticket to the Musée d'Orsay will give you the chance to see some of the most famous Impressionist paintings in the world. The perfect plan in Paris for art lovers!
Welcome to the Musée d'Orsay! With your ticket, you'll be able to visit the rooms of one of the most famous art galleries in Paris. This museum is located in the former building of the Orsay railway station, inaugurated in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition in Paris.
In its rooms, you can admire paintings from the 19th century, specifically from the period between 1848 and 1914. Did you know that the Musée d'Orsay houses the largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works in the world? It's made up of no less than 5,000 paintings.
During your visit, you'll find masterpieces by artists such as Manet, Renoir, Degas, and Monet, as well as a large collection of sculptures, decorative arts, and architectural elements.
The permanent collection features several world-renowned masterpieces you won't want to miss. Highlights include Monet's Women with a Parasol, Van Gogh's The Bedroom in Arles, Renoir's Bal de la Moulin de la Galette, Degas's Little Dancer Aged Fourteen, and Cézanne's The Card Players.
The Musée d'Orsay is open at the following times:
Your ticket grants you access to all exhibitions, but not with priority access, so you'll have to wait in line if you wish to visit the temporary showings.
Admission to the Musée d'Orsay in Paris is free for the following groups:
Admission is also free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month. A reservation is still required to visit.
For the free tickets mentioned above, you'll have to go to the museum's ticket office with a supporting document justifying your free admission.
From March 10, 2026, until the summer of 2028, the Musée d'Orsay will be undergoing a major multi-phase renovation of its visitor reception areas. The project aims to improve visitor comfort and reduce the building's environmental footprint.
The museum and its exhibitions will remain open to the public during their usual hours throughout the renovation. However, please note that a temporary entrance will be set up at Entrance 2.
This Musée d'Orsay ticket is an open-dated/open-time ticket (flexible entry). Therefore, the date or time associated with this booking does not guarantee access to the museum at that specific moment. In the event of high visitor numbers, the museum may restrict access, ask you to wait, or request that you return on a different date.
Please note that our rates are 1EUR higher than the box office prices, as they save you the need to wait in line.
