Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh in the tuk-tuks we'll use to tour Silk Island. Ready to discover the world of Cambodian weaving? Let's go!

First of all, we'll board a ferry that will take us in a few minutes to our destination across the Mekong River. Once there, we'll start our tuk-tuk tour of this picturesque island. We'll go through the rice and vegetable fields and pass by the large local open-air market.

Afterwards, we'll visit the home of a local family to learn first-hand about the history of silk weaving in Cambodia, a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation.

We'll also learn about the main techniques, from the breeding of mulberry worms to the manufacture and hand weaving of refined fabrics on centuries-old looms. We'll also enjoy an aperitif made up of a variety of fruits and snacks—you'll love the experience!

Finally, after 4.5 hours, we'll end the activity at the starting point.
