Join us on this 2-day trip from Puno to La Paz and the Salar de Uyuni, where we'll show you one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of Bolivia. You can't miss it!
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puno to head to the bus station and take a tour bus towards La Paz. The journey will take 8 hours. Once we reach La Paz, you'll have free time to explore the city and El Alto, discovering the rich local culture in Bolivia's capital and its impressive tourist attractions.
At night, we'll take an overnight bus with seats that recline up to 160 degrees. We'll reach Uyani after a 10-hour journey.
Once we've reached Uyuni by morning, we'll go to a café where you'll have the chance to eat breakfast and use its bathrooms and shower facilities. If you prefer, we can recommend a place to stay until the tour begins.
After a few hours of rest, we'll begin our 1-and-a-half-hour visit of the Train Cemetary. We'll then go to the town of Colchani to reach the Salar de Uyuni. Along the way, we'll visit some artisanal workshops and a rustic table salt processing plant.
Our tour will continue at Ojos de Salar and the Sal de Playa Blanca Hotel, which currently operates as a museum. We'll visit Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti.
After a spectacular sunset over the Salar de Uyuni, we'll begin to make our way back to Uyuni. We can either drop you off at the bus station or a spot in town of your choice after this 9-hour day.
Please note that hotel pickup services are included in this activity for those staying in the centre of Puno. If your accommodation is outside this designated area, we'll meet you instead at the Puno Bus Terminal (Terminal Terrestre).
Please be at the Puno Bus Terminal at 6:40 am. For the last day, we recommend finding accommodation in the town of Uyuni or booking a bus that leaves after 8 pm.
