According to the program established on the Civitatis page, however, there should be the possibility to choose the option to buy with or without lunch. If that option does not exist, I would look for a way to change the food provider. Opinion translated. Show original.

The guide was good; he explained many interesting things if you like the country's history and culture, but we had so many scheduled stops that we were rushed and didn't have time to enjoy ourselves. I would prefer a self-guided tour of the city with four recommendations rather than such a structured tour where you could only spend 20 minutes at most at each place.

At the start of the trip to Santo Domingo, I encountered a noticeable lack of logistics, beginning with the driver's late arrival. The route taken to pick up other passengers caused delays, and after an hour we returned to the starting point, the Bahia Principe Hotel, where my companion and I had boarded. By then, almost two hours had passed before we reached a gas station where we had to wait again. Finally, the bus waited for another twenty minutes on the highway.

The excursion was okay, but it was very long since we spent more time on the bus to and from the tour than actually on the excursion in Santo Domingo. We arrived very late. The tour itself was quite basic, with few things to see and far too many hours. I wouldn't recommend it if you're only visiting Punta Cana or the Dominican Republic for a few days.

Especialmente adultos mayores.

Rodi is an excellent guide. He explained the entire history of Santo Domingo, its most important sites, and gave us tips on extra things we wanted to see that weren't included in the tour. The logistics could be improved regarding departure times. With so many people, we were picked up at 8:00, but we didn't leave until almost 9:00 or 9:30. As a result, we were exposed to the midday sun for all the activities, which is exhausting for many people, especially older adults.

Translate this opinion into English.

Rody, our guide, was very attentive, friendly, and willing to answer our questions. The tour allowed us to see different points of interest, and Rody's explanations made it a very comprehensive experience. The best part was the stop at the Caves of the Three Eyes. Translate this opinion into English.

A very good activity. Our guide, Rody, was very kind and friendly, punctual, and provided excellent historical explanations at each site we visited. The food was very good; the chicken was delicious. My only recommendation is to double-check the names of all passengers when boarding the bus, as someone might be left behind, although that wasn't the case for us. Opinion translated. Show original.

The trip was tiring, a 3-hour bus ride each way. The guide (Rodi) was a bit racist, constantly saying that they weren't equal to Haitians, that they had to remain separate, and so on (no one asked him, nor did he mention any conflict we were unaware of). He was rude and unpleasant throughout the day (we got the impression he disliked us Spaniards quite a bit). The colonial city itself is beautiful (the center; the rest is in a difficult situation).

Translate this opinion into English.

Magnificent tour, beautiful city, everyone was incredibly friendly, but especially our guide Rodi, a true gentleman and former teacher who narrates the history of his country and city in an amazing way. I highly recommend it; visiting Santo Domingo was our best decision. I left absolutely delighted and thrilled with everything. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

The transfer and the guide were excellent, although I suggest that they improve the quality of the food, as the chicken was more bone than meat and the food lacked flavor in general, and reduce the tour time a little because although the guide was excellent, friendly and pleasant, we found it somewhat long and tiring.

Àlex, our guide, was fantastic. The transportation, however, was a disaster. The driver kept picking up and dropping off people who weren't on our tour, just to make extra money, which made the excursion last 13 hours, not 9 to 11. Coordination with the agency was a disaster, as they changed our pick-up point several times. Santo Domingo is worth visiting, but book private transportation because it's incredibly expensive.

Translate this opinion into English.

Our guide, Alexander, was very knowledgeable, cheerful, patient, and had an excellent attitude. The places we visited were beautiful. I was disappointed by the attitude of the first driver who picked us up (Rodolfo), as he arrived before the scheduled time (8:00 am). While I apologize for arriving at the lobby at 8:05, he greeted me with a terrible attitude (he didn't even say good morning). Annoyed, he told me they had been waiting for a while, but he had arrived early—zero customer service.

Translate this opinion into English.

Precioso recorrido!! AGRADECIDOS Translate this opinion into English.

Beautiful tour!! Excellent guide Victor! We did Santo Domingo staying in Punta C., because how many times will I visit the Dominican Republic? So how could I leave without seeing the origin of colonization? As a Latin American, this is a must-do excursion to understand our culture. We visited the historical landmarks, the Central area, the Columbus pantheon, and the 3 Eyes cenote. Everything included lunch, guide, and transfer. GRATEFUL Opinion translated. Show original.
