Mount Cook Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Queenstown at the indicated time and set off on our day trip to Mount Cook. On the way, we'll make several stops so you can admire the impressive wild landscapes of South Island. We'll also stop at a shop so you can get some snacks and refreshments for the rest of the trip.
We'll head deep into the beautiful wilderness of New Zealand's Southern Alps, where the mountains, glaciers and lakes make for unforgettable scenery. New Zealand is well known for its incredible natural beauty that remains relatively untouched by man. We'll stop a Lake Pukaki, famous for its magnificent deep blue waters. Afterwards, we'll continue our journey until we reach our destination: Mount Cook.
Does this magical landscape remind you of anything? Probably, if you're a fan of the Lord of the Rings franchise! The mountain starred in the first film of the saga as the fictitious Mount Caradhras, part of the Misty Mountains that the characters venture across. Here, you'll have three hours of free time to explore the area as you wish. You can go hiking or do one of the activities offered by the locals, the choice is yours!
At the agreed time, we'll meet up again and make our way back. On the way, we'll stop at a salmon farm so you can enjoy a delicious lunch.
When we arrive in Queenstown we'll drop you off at your hotel at about 6:45 pm.
