Whale Watching in Rio de Janeiro
Activity Details
We’ll meet at the scheduled time at Marina da Glória, where we’ll begin with a brief introduction about the trip. Shortly after, we’ll board the boat.
On board a comfortable sailboat, we’ll begin a memorable journey along the Carioca coast. We’ll sail past Sugarloaf Mountain, São João Fortress, Praia Vermelha, and the iconic beaches of Copacabana.
Gradually, we’ll approach the oceanic islands of Rio de Janeiro, where the chances of spotting cetaceans increase. The route will take us around the Cagarras, Redonda, Rasa, Comprida, and Palmas islands. Watching humpback whales in their natural habitat is one of the most remarkable wildlife experiences.
During the trip, you’ll enjoy onboard service including fruit, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks, accompanied by background music. To complete the experience, flotation equipment will be available so you can relax in the water during planned stops.
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point, where we’ll say our goodbyes after approximately 5 hours.
Whale Watching
Please note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. The number of animals observed will depend on factors such as weather conditions and breeding seasons.
