At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of Hell's Gate Geothermal Reserve and begin a guided tour of Rotorua's most important and active geothermal park!
We'll tell you all sorts of interesting facts about this geothermal area while we explore the powerful geysers and thermal pools. Waterfalls, amazing flora, and even tropical birds await us here at Hell's Gate!
Did you know that Hell's Gate has the largest active mud volcano in New Zealand and that it's home to the largest hot waterfall in the southern hemisphere? You'll be amazed by the fascinating nature of the reserve!
After an hour of touring Hell's Gate, we'll end the tour by returning to the starting point.
Hell's Gate only offers two guided tours per day: at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. If you don't have access at these times, you'll have to take the tour on your own.
