Rotterdam Bike Tour
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at 1 Linker Veerdam, and once everyone has arrived, we'll set off on a bike tour of Rotterdam. You're in one of the best cities in the world for cycling!
We'll start pedalling to explore the city as we make our way to Rotterdam’s main landmarks. First, we’ll head to the Hotel New York, famous for having been one of the departure points for thousands of emigrants setting sail for North America in the early 20th century.
From here, we'll cycle to the second stop of the day, the Erasmus Bridge, better known as ‘The Swan’. It’s one of Rotterdam’s greatest landmarks!
This bridge, which connects the historic centre with the modern Kop van Zuid district, will take us to Veerhaven. We’ll see this old port of Rotterdam, which was spared destruction during the city's bombing raids in the Second World War.
The next stop on our bike tour will be the Museum Quarter, the city's cultural hub. Here, we'll see Rotterdam’s most important museums, all linked by the Museumpark.
To take a break, we'll give you around 20 minutes of free time on Oude Binnenweg, one of the city's most popular streets, where you can grab a drink or do some shopping.
Afterwards, we’ll continue cycling until we reach the City Hall, the Laurenskerk church, and, of course, the famous cube houses. Don't forget to snap some photos! We’ll continue the bike tour by visiting the Markthal, the city’s main market, and, finally, the Koningshaven Bridge, one of Rotterdam’s most iconic industrial landmarks.
After a total of between 3 and 3.5 hours, we’ll return to the starting point and bring the bike tour to a close.
