We'll begin the day by picking you up from your hotel in San Salvador. After hopping onto the vehicle, we'll give you an audio guide in English and leave behind the capital in search of the Pacific coast. Are you ready to get to know the best of El Salvador in one single day?
Our first stop will be El Tunco Beach, where you'll have 3 hours of free time to take a dip in the sea, sunbathe, and taste the local cuisine. We'll then head over to El Boquerón National Park, where we'll find the San Salvador Volcano. Once we're ready, we'll ascend up to the crater. Did you know that its diameter is over 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) wide? Make sure you take some photos of the caldera and the surrounding landscapes!
We'll meet back up again to make our way to San Salvador. This small but mighty capital city will greet us warmly as we stroll down the small streets in the historical centre. We'll pass the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Theatre, and El Rosario Church. You'll get to learn all about these ancient buildings with the help of the audioguide.
Pay special attention to the recording when we reach the iconic Plaza Libertad, Plaza Morazán, and Plaza Gerardo Barrios. What events are commemorated in these spots? Uncover key parts of El Salvador's history!
Lastly, we'll say our goodbyes back at your hotel after a total of 10 hours.
