The guide was charming, and you could tell he was dominating the tour. And he knew a lot, about the tour and many other things. We loved it

Santiago's Markets Free Walking Tour

We'll meet at 12:30 pm next to the equestrian statue of Pedro de Valdivia, in the Plaza de Armas in Santiago de Chile. With this free tour of Santiago de Chile, we'll discover the essence of the Chilean capital in a different way, visiting its most famous markets.

We'll head towards the north of the city along Puente Street, the old Inca Trail, until we reach the famous Central Market. You'll contemplate its beautiful façade, learning much of its history and the importance of this market for the life of the local inhabitants. Inside, you'll see the large number of stalls selling fruit, vegetables, fish, meat... Exceptional quality and at very competitive prices!

We'll cross the north bank of the Mapocho River, formerly known as "La Chimba", which is nowadays a huge market where we'll find many fruit and vegetable stalls. It's also a perfect place to enjoy the hustle and bustle, the flavours, the smells and the rhythm of the city, which will allow you to experience the authentic Chilean rhythm of life.

Finally, we'll visit the Pérgola de las Flores, a market where we'll enjoy the popular art and the different flower stalls that fill the area with colour and joy. You'll fall in love with it!

The tour will end at the exit of the flower market at approximately 2:30 pm, where the guide will give you the best tips to continue discovering the city on your own.

It isn't possible to reserve this tour for groups larger than 6 people. If you're a bigger group, take a look at our Private Tour of Santiago de Chile which you can tailor to your interests.
