Authentic, traditional, modern, cosmopolitan, European... The magical city of Santiago de Chile is a wonderful melting pot of contrasts and contradictions. On our guided walking tour around the city center, you will discover all the essential landmarks and secrets of this captivating capital city.

Santiago Walking Tour

We will meet up in the center of Santiago de Chile to start our fascinating tour of the essential sights of the city.

Our first stop is the church of San Francisco, the oldest colonial building in Santiago. Then we will stroll through the pretty cobbled streets of the popular Londres-Paris neighborhood. Here you will admire the lovely European style architecture of the historic buildings.

Our route then takes us along the narrow, bustling roads of the La Bolsa district, lined with stately buildings which date back to the beginning of the 20th century. We will make a stop at La Moneda Palace which is Chile's most prominent example of its neoclassical architectural heritage. You will learn all about how this majestic building is the symbol of the country's political history.

Right in the heart of the city, you will be surprised to encounter a beautiful French style formal garden - Cerro Santa Lucia. The delightful ponds, statues, and terraces will transport you back to a bygone era. Close by, we find an impressive neoclassical and neo-baroque style building, the National Museum of Fine Arts. The facade of this glorious landmark takes inspiration from the Petit Palais of Paris.

As we stroll through the serene Parque Forestal woods, you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful chestnut and sycamore trees. Afterward, we head to the Plaza de Armas square to see some of the most iconic landmarks in the city, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National History Museum, and the local government offices.

Our guided tour of Santiago of Chile ends in the vibrant Central Market, the focus point of the city's delicious gastronomy. After browsing the different stalls selling traditional food and products, the guide will offer advice on the where you can taste the best flavors of Chile so you can continue exploring this wonderful city by yourself.
