Tradition, secrets, legends, mysteries...discover all the enigmas that surround the Knights Templar on this templars tour of Santiago de Compostela.
At the scheduled time, you'll meet your Spanish-speaking guide in the centre of Santiago de Compostela, in Plaza Quintana. From here, and after a brief explanation about the Knights Templar, we'll start this guided walking tour around the streets of Santiago.
Our first stop will be at the Monastery of San Paio de Antealtares, which was founded by the Benedictine Order. We'll continue strolling to the Corticela Chapel, where we'll admire its façade and discover the symbolism and details that give us the clues of what it used be - a Templar headquarters!
Afterwards, we'll head to the Plaza de Cervantes. Here, we'll see the outside of the Church of Santa Maria do Camiño, another building with links to the Templars.
The next stop will be Plaza de Mazarelos square, where we'll take a look at a number of Jewish and Masonic symbols. To round off our tour, we'll head inside the Collegiate Church of Santa María a Real do Sar. We'll discover its history as an old headquarters for the Knights Templar, as well as admiring its impressive architecture and works of art.
When the tour comes to an end, you'll receive a surprise gift that's linked to Santiago and the theme of this tour.
