Shanghai Layover Tour
Options
The tour is totally private, and includes pick up and drop off at the airport and a professional English speaking guide just for you and your companions. There are different itineraries to suit different stopover times which you can modify according to your preferences. When making the booking, you will be able to choose between the following three options:
4-hour tour
For 4 hours, we will visit the Bund (the most famous, historical part of Shanghai), the Yuyuan Garden (one of the most beautiful, famous gardens in all China), the Pearl of the Orient (the most symbolic building in the city) and the Shanghai Tower (the most modern skyscraper in the city, 2000 feet high).
8-hour tour
With this 8-hour option, we will see the most important landmarks in Shanghai from the 4-hour option, and also include visits to the Temple of Jade Buddha (the most famous in Shanghai) and Xintiandi (a pleasant neighborhood of restored old houses and the perfect spot for lunch).
12-hour tour
This option is the most comprehensive since we have a total of 12 hours to explore the city. In addition to the previous itinerary, we will add two more visits: Tianzifang (residential area located in the French Concession area) and the famous copy market.
Important: layover times
You must take into account that the total time to go and return to the city center is about 2 hours, and you must be in the airport 2 hours before your flight departure. Therefore, the effective time to visit the city is about 4 hours less than the stopover. For example, to do the 4-hour tour, you must have at least 8 hours of stopover.
