Let yourself be captivated by the rhythms of Apsara: spend an unforgettable evening enjoying a performance of the traditional Cambodian dance and indulging in a typical buffet dinner.
Dinner & Apsara Dance Show: what to expect?
Your evening of cultural immersion will begin in a tuk-tuk, a typical way of getting around in Asia. You'll be picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap at around 6:30 pm and taken to a Theatre of Folklore in the heart of the city center.
Once you're comfortably settled in the theatre, you'll enjoy a traditional Cambodian show in which talented dancers from all over the country, dressed in typical local costumes, perform the classical ballet. Apsara dance, which dates back to the 7th century, is an integral part of Cambodia's cultural identity and revolves around Hindu and Buddhist mythology.
As well as being enchanted by the dance show, you'll also be treated to a delicious buffet dinner. Indulge in typical Cambodian specialties, amongst which a traditional dish known as "amok" is a particular highlight. This mouth-watering delicacy refers to curry steam-cooked in banana leaves and can include a variety of different ingredients including chicken and fish. A true delight for the tastebuds!
At the end of an unforgettable evening, at around 8:30 pm, you'll be taken back to your hotel.
