At the time of booking, you can choose between the following options. All of them include pickup from your hotel or a central location and an exclusive English–speaking guide.

Historic center tour (2.5 hours)

We'll start by looking at the façade of the Royal Palace and passing by the Swedish Parliament building. This walk through the old town of Stockholm will take us to see its temples, such as the Riddarholmen Church and St. Nicholas Cathedral, where we'll learn the story of St. George and the dragon. We'll also walk along the narrowest street of the city, all while we discover the history and development of the city from the Vikings to its transformation into the capital of Sweden.

New City tour (2.5 hours)

This tour will focus on the contemporary history of Stockholm, its evolution and economic development. We'll visit the neighborhoods of Östermalm and Normalm while we learn about the legacy of the Vasa family and the different stages of the Swedish empire, from its origins to its fall to Russia.

Södermalm tour (2.5 hours)

In this option, we'll visit the island of Södermalm. Better known as the Hipster Island, this area is famous for its bohemian atmosphere and its history, marked by the presence of writers, poets, musicians and actors. Södermalm is the largest island of the archipelago and has some impressive viewpoints that we'll visit during this private tour. We'll also take the opportunity to explain how the Swedish welfare state, health and education work.

Mysteries & legends tour (2 hours)

Did you know that several Swedish kings died under strange circumstances? Some were poisoned, others shot with silver bullets... The macabre stories that we'll learn in this mysteries and legends tour will leave you stunned. During the route, we'll hear some Viking legends and others related to the devil or the black plague - an unknown side of Stockholm that you'll be amazed to uncover!

Combined tour (4.5 - 5 hours)

If you don't know which of the above options to choose, you can book the combined tour and combine two of the above itineraries, the choice is yours!

We start wherever you want

We can start this private walking tour of Stockholm from your hotel (provided it is in Gamla Stan) or from a central point in the city. If you're arriving on a cruise ship, we'll contact you to arrange a meeting point in the center of Stockholm.

Please note that if we start the tour from your accommodation, the duration of the tour may be reduced.
