Boat Ride in the Arctic Circle
We'll meet at the scheduled time at the Clarion The Edge Hotel in Tromsø. Are you ready for an unforgettable voyage through Northern Norway?
Once on board, we'll depart from the port of Tromsø—the third-largest city in the Arctic Circle—and head south toward the Ramfjord. This fjord is notable for a distinct 90-degree bend, which you will be able to photograph from the boat.
Upon reaching this area, the vessel will slow down and switch to 100% electric mode, gliding silently into the depths of the Ramfjord. In this beautiful natural setting, we'll pass by the island of Holman, where the crew will deploy an underwater drone.
You'll be able to view the footage captured by the drone on the boat’s screens, offering a glimpse into Arctic marine life and the local kelp forests.
Next, we will pass by the Olavsvern submarine base, built inside a mountain during the Cold War. On the return journey to the departure pier, we'll sail past the island of Håkøya. This is the site where the German battleship Tirpitz, one of the largest warships of its era, was sunk in 1944.
Finally, you'll have the chance to sample traditional Norwegian products on board before returning to the departure pier, concluding a 4-hour trip.
