Translate this opinion into English.

The guide is very friendly and was very punctual and attentive to us. The problem with the excursion is that the river is very high and you cannot go by boat to the side of the city, so it has taken us to the side of the bridge and that part is very ugly. It is not their fault, but they could notify us from the app beforehand and it would be up to us to decide whether to do it or not. Opinion translated. Show original.

First of all, Manish, the guide, is a very nice guy. In this case, the agency was to blame for notifying him late. They canceled our itinerary because the Ganges was so high that we couldn't go by boat (the government also canceled the ceremony). We missed the tour, notified the day before (late). We don't understand why the guide was notified the evening before with the passenger information and not at the time of booking. We could have changed our plan. In the end, we took the free tour with Manish.

We were supposed to meet at Kafe Kashi at 5:00 a.m., and no one showed up. We called and texted, but no one answered. It's a disgrace. We were left without the excursion. We took photos at the meeting point and waited an hour. It's a shame because we were really looking forward to the excursion. This is the last time we'll trust Civitatis. We want a full refund for the excursion we didn't take because they didn't show up! We got up at 4:00 a.m. for nothing.

Our experience with Civitatis was frustrating. We booked a tour at 5:30am, but at 3:44am we were told it would be at 6:00am. Then at 4:30am we were told it was actually at 5:00am and we could change it to sunset. These last minute changes made it impossible to make it happen. The lack of organization and communication prevented us from taking the tour. We do not recommend it if you are looking for a punctual and reliable service.

We were ripped off. At 12 midnight, the guide sent us a message that we would have to pay 400 rupees more per person because the authorities had banned small boats from sailing due to the high water level. Then we saw that the water was very low and when we asked him he told us that rowing boats were prohibited... a very unclear explanation and we reluctantly paid. The activity is good but it is better to do it on your own, the guide does not provide anything.

We have not carried out the activity because it was cancelled without notice. We called several times yesterday to confirm if they would do it due to the storm and we have not received any response. We showed up at the meeting point at the indicated time and after waiting 45 minutes we left. We spoke to the provider and they apologised and told us they would refund our money. A serious lack of professionalism.

Translate this opinion into English.

Fuimos estafados.

We were scammed. Hours before the activity (when free cancellation was no longer available) the guide said that he had to charge more money in cash since they had to use a larger boat due to the “rivers’ growth”. The surprise was seeing small boats sailing the river the next day and not being able to cancel the activity because they would have charged the same. Not at all recommended. There are boatmen at the site who charge you 1/4 of what they charge at Civitatis and the ceremony is free at the ghat.
