Best Tours and Activities in Victoria | Things to Do 2024

Victoria is the charming capital of British Columbia, located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Famous for its lush gardens, historic buildings, and beautiful harbor, this coastal city welcomes visitors with a unique blend of old-world charm and modern vibrancy. Whether you're drawn by whale watching, tea at the Empress Hotel, or simply strolling through the flower-filled streets, there's something here for everyone.

A Glimpse into the Past

The city was founded in the mid-19th century, quickly becoming a hub during the Gold Rush era. Its British heritage is still visible in the grand architecture, delightful pubs, and traditions like afternoon tea. Today, these historical roots blend seamlessly with a lively arts scene and a welcoming, multicultural community.

Best Time to Visit

Spring and summer are the most popular times to visit thanks to mild temperatures and gardens in full bloom. However, Victoria's mild climate makes it a pleasant destination year-round, with fewer crowds and charming winter events during the cooler months.

Do I need to take a ferry to get there?

Most visitors arrive by ferry from the mainland, with regular services connecting Vancouver and nearby islands. It is also possible to fly directly to the local airport or take a scenic seaplane ride.
