3 or 4-Day Classical Greece Tour
Activity Details
Day 1: Athens - Corinth - Epidaurus - Mycenae - Olympia
After picking you up from your hotel in Athens at the indicated time, you'll begin the 3-day tour by boarding a comfortable coach. Your driver will head west to the Corinth Canal, where you'll stop to admire one of the most impressive human-made canals in the world. Continue the journey to the south till you get to Epidaurus, home to one of the best-preserved theatres in Greece and with impressive acoustics.
Back on the bus, you'll head to Argolis. Here, you'll explore one of the most important archaeological sites of Ancient Greece: Mycenae.
After visiting these surprising ruins and marveling at world-famous constructions like the Lion Gate, the Cyclopean walls, the circular Royal Tombs, and the Treasury of Atreus, you'll continue the tour by setting off to Olympia, the birthplace of the first Olympic Games. Spend the night in this city.
Day 2: Olympia - Delphi
Our second day will begin with a visit to the archaeological site of Olympia. Here, you'll see the Temple of Zeus, the altar where the Olympic torch is lit, the Temple of Hera, the Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place, and the site's Archaeological Museum.
After listening to the interesting stories about Ancient Greece accompanied by photographs of the archaeological site, we'll get back on the bus and cross the impressive Rio-Antirrio Bridge. Then, we'll return to Delphi to spend the night.
Day 3: Delphi - Athens
After a delicious breakfast, begin a tour of Delphi, considered the center of the world of Ancient Greece. You'll explore one of the most important archaeological sites of Europe, followed by a visit to its Archaeological Museum, which accommodates countless relics and unique ancient items.
After spending a whole morning discovering this incredibly interesting part of Greece, you'll return to Athens in the afternoon.
4-Day Tour
If you choose this option, on the first two days of the circuit, we'll follow the same itinerary as the 3-day tour.
On the third day, after visiting the Archaeological Museum in Delphi, we'll head to Kalambaka, a picturesque town where we'll spend the night.
We'll begin our fourth day by having breakfast at the hotel in Kalambaka, and from there, we'll set off to the famous monasteries of Meteora. Depending on the season, we'll visit two of the following 11th-century cenobians: the Monastery of Saint Stephen, the Monastery of Saint Varlaam, the Monastery of Great Meteoron, and the Monastery of Rousanou.
Lastly, we'll stop in Sparta to see the monument to Leonidas. We'll return to Athens from here, where, depending on traffic, we'll arrive at the Greek capital between 6:30 pm and 7 pm.
