Tour Details
We'll kick off the day by picking you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at the scheduled time, ready to explore some of the most fascinating remnants of ancient Egyptian civilization. Let's go!
Our first stop will be Giza, where we'll marvel at the majestic Pyramid of Khufu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We'll also take in the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and get up close to the imposing Sphinx, the millennia-old guardian of the funerary complex. We'll have plenty of fascinating facts to share along the way!
At lunchtime, we'll take a break to enjoy a delicious traditional buffet at a local restaurant, sampling a variety of authentic Egyptian dishes.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's largest space dedicated to ancient Egyptian civilization and home to 12 halls and 50000 artifacts! In front of the building's entrance, we'll see the world's first suspended obelisk.
We'll then head inside to the Grand Hall, where a 12-meter (39-foot) statue of Ramesses II awaits, and make our way up the monumental staircase, flanked by more than 60 unique archaeological pieces. We'll also explore exhibitions tracing the history of Pharaonic Egypt from its earliest beginnings through to the Roman era.
In the Grand Egyptian Museum, we'll also see the famous treasure of Tutankhamun, including his iconic solid gold mask and other jewels found in November 1922 by the celebrated archaeologist Howard Carter in the tomb of the most famous pharaoh of Ancient Egypt.
After 6 hours in total, we'll be back at your hotel, wrapping up this tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza.
