On this guided tour of Cobh, we'll follow a route where the Titanic, immigration, an impressive cathedral and streets lined with colourful houses take centre stage.

Tour Details

Are you ready to explore the last port of call of the Titanic and the stories of millions of Irish people who were forced to leave their country? At the indicated time, we'll meet at Cobh Heritage Centre, near the cruise terminal, to begin this guided tour of Cobh. This small coastal town in southern Ireland is sure to surprise you!

Once we're all ready, we'll begin exploring this colourful harbour town, whose history, unsurprisingly, is closely linked with the sea. To do so, we'll stop in front of the statue of Annie Moore, which pays tribute to the many emigrants who left this port in search of a new life. However, Moore went down in history for being the first to pass through the immigration centre on Ellis Island, in New York.

From here, we'll walk to the President John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, very close to the former offices of the White Star Line, the owner of the Titanic. We'll travel back in time to reveal some of the memories of this emblematic ocean liner that set sail from Cobh on April 11, 1912. The town has many memorials to the ship and its victims, especially the Irish emigrants.

Our next stop is Casement Square and the Lusitania Memorial. In this colourful square, surrounded by houses painted in shades of pink, yellow, red or blue, we'll tell you the story of the Lusitania, the ship sunk by a German torpedo during the First World War.

We'll continue our walk through Cobh until we reach the imposing Saint Colman's Cathedral, which dominates the town. We'll enter the interior of this neo-Gothic church, built in the mid-19th century, which boasts the tallest church in Ireland. Its luminous interior, full of beautiful stained-glass windows, will win you over as soon as you enter.

Want to take the best photo of Cobh? Here we go! To do so, we'll head to Spy Hill, walking up the steep street of West View, specifically to Deck of Cards, from where we'll have a panoramic view of the main attractions of the city: the coloured houses, the ocean and the cathedral.

Finally, we'll pass by the Museum of Cobh and Carrig House, before arriving back at the starting point, where we'll say goodbye after a total of 2 hours of sightseeing.
