Free Walking Tour of Copenhagen
Enjoy a guided tour of the historic centre of Copenhagen, the best way to get to know the Danish capital for a first timer, and what's more, it's free!
Free Walking Tour of Copenhagen
Our free tour begins by the dragon fountain found in the Rådhuspladsen, the Town Hall Square. We will observe the beautiful decoration of the municipal headquarters where the golden sculpture of the bishop-founder of the city, Absalon, is a highlight.
As we learn about the legends and curiosities which run through the history of the Danish capital, we will continue our Copenhagen guided tour along the Nyhavn. This famous waterfront walkway along the banks of the canal is known for the buildings along it which add a splash of colour to the district: the tour digging into the reasons behind their striking colour scheme.
The tour continues to take in the Christiansborg palace - the current headquarters of the Danish Parliament, and home to the tallest tower in Copenhagen.
The route concludes in Amalienborg Square - by the Danish Royal Palace. In this famous square we'll learn about the palace intrigues of the Danish monarchs of the past.
