Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Havana and then head southwest to begin this excursion to Soroa Waterfall. Are you ready to explore the jungle of Cuba? Let's go!
Did you know that Soroa's landscape has been declared a Biosphere Reserve? As soon as we arrive, we'll start walking through the lush vegetation of the jungle, where the "Arcoíris de Cuba" (Rainbow of Cuba) is located.
Finally, we'll reach the Soroa waterfall, located in the Sierra del Rosario, which is one of the highest waterfalls in the country, with a drop of no less than 22 m (72 ft). There, we'll stop to rest and enjoy the views. Afterwards, we'll enter an extensive garden that houses more than 20,000 orchids comprising over 100 endemic species and nearly 700 species originating from other parts of the world. During the tour, you can learn about the botanical diversity of these plants in its library, which keeps records.
Nature will be the real protagonist of our tour. Along the hiking route, we'll see the exotic vegetation that makes up one of the most beautiful natural enclaves in western Cuba. Be sure to take some photos!
In the middle of the day, when we start to get hungry, we'll enjoy a typical Cuban lunch. We'll follow this path until we reach the viewpoint of the reserve, the ideal spot to get one of the best panoramic views of the Sierra del Rosario.
Finally, we'll end this trip to Soroa Waterfall by dropping you back off at your accommodation 5 to 6.5 hours later.
