Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the bus parking lot in Landenberg and, from this point in Lucerne, drive south towards one of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland.
First of all, we'll drive through Entlebuch, which has been declared a biosphere reserve. After passing through this captivating area, we'll stop in the village of Trubschachen to visit the Kambly biscuit factory. During the tour of the factory, we'll see how the delicious products are made and enjoy a delicious tasting.
Afterwards, we'll head to the capital of Switzerland for a walking tour through the historic centre of Bern. As we stroll through the charming Old Town, which is also a World Heritage Site, we'll see the exterior of emblematic monuments such as the Bern Minster Cathedral and the Zytglogge clock tower. We'll also stop in front of the Bundeshaus and the Federal Palace of Switzerland, located on the banks of the river Aare.
At the end of the guided tour of Bern, you'll have an hour of free time to have a drink, stroll around and do some shopping. After this time, we'll reconvene in the centre of the capital to move to the outskirts, where we'll visit the Emmentaler cheese factory. Here, we'll see how one of Switzerland's most famous products is made, which we'll of course have the opportunity to taste.
After this Emmental cheese tasting, we'll head to a local dairy farm for a photo opportunity with the famous Swiss cows. If the day is clear, we'll be lucky enough to see the alpine peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Lucerne, where we'll conclude our day trip after a total of 8 hours and 45 minutes in total.
