Tour Details
Our culinary adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Montevideo, followed by a scenic drive to the renowned Angel Fallabrino winery. Upon arrival, we'll put on our aprons and step into one of the city's most iconic gastronomic hubs. It's time to get to work!
We’ll kick things off by preparing and savoring an authentic Uruguayan mate, learning about its cultural significance as we sip. Next, you’ll enjoy a traditional picada featuring a selection of cheeses, salami, and fresh bread. To elevate the experience, we’ll sample five wines from the Fallabrino winery. Could there be a better way to begin?
With our palettes opened, we'll light the embers and prepare the cuts of meat along with the secret blend of spices that give Uruguayan cuisine its unique flavor. As we go through this ritual, you'll learn how to control cooking times, manage firewood, and find the ideal grilling temperature—every step has its own technique!
Next, we’ll prepare chimichurri, the essential sauce found on every Uruguayan table. Then comes the highlight of the experience: grilling the meat. We’ll cook three classic cuts—”asado de tira,” “colita de cuadril,” and the beloved “choripán.”
Once the meats are perfectly roasted, we'll sit down to savor the fruits of our labor. These mouthwatering dishes will be paired with your choice of Tannat or Moscatel rosé wine, along with soft drinks and mineral water. To end on a sweet note, we’ll enjoy a classic Martín Fierro dessert—a delightful combination of cheese and quince jam.
After the feast, we’ll head back to your hotel, concluding an unforgettable 4-hour culinary experience.
