Join us as we head into Uruguay's idyllic wine-growing region to visit one of its traditional 'bodega' wineries. Along the way, you will taste delicious regional wines and other wonderful local products.
Winery Tour and Tasting
After picking you up from your hotel, we will leave Montevideo behind and head to one of Uruguay's principal wineries. There are at least six different wineries in this region, such as Spinoglio, Pizzorno, Juanico, Marichal, Artensana and Antigua Stagnari, among others.
Most of these 'bodegas' are located to the north of the capital, which is home to idyllic landscapes of endless vineyards. When we arrive, we will begin our discovery of Uruguay's wine-growing culture.
Immediately upon arriving at the bodega, you will appreciate the importance of this place. The lights are dim, the temperature is cool and, above all, you will encounter the intense smell of oak and wine. An expert sommelier will help you to become an expert in Uruguayan wine. You will taste four types of medium and high range wine, together with a selection of local meats.
Finally, after about two hours of visiting, you will return to the hotel at the agreed time.
Tour with food
When making the booking, you have the option to complement your tour with food at the winery. You will enjoy a complete menu consisting of a starter, a main course, and a dessert, all accompanied by top quality wines. The sommelier will recommend the best pairing for each dish. You can accompany roast beef with a Tannat or enjoy a late harvest wine with dessert.
The winery that we visit on the tour will depend on the availability at the time.
