At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Maria and start this culinary experience. Are you ready to learn how to prepare cachupa, the traditional dish of Cape Verde? Let's go!

We'll go to the home of a local family, who will open their doors to teach us how to cook the most traditional dish of the island. Once together, we'll prepare the necessary ingredients and get down to work. It's time to cook!

During this experience, we'll follow the steps of our host to learn how to cook cachupa in the most traditional way possible. This kind of stew is composed of corn, beans, fish or meat, potatoes and manioc. What's more, throughout the class, we'll discover some of the oldest gastronomic traditions of Sal Island.

Once our dish is finished, we'll sit around the table and enjoy this delicious dish with our hosts. Then, we will take you back to your hotel and say goodbye 2 hours later.
