Would you like to stargaze in one of Bolivia’s most spectacular landscapes? With this experience at the Uyuni Salt Flats, you’ll enjoy one of the highlights of your trip, gazing at a crystal-clear night sky and taking in the sunrise or sunset.
Salar de Uyuni Stargazing Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and head to the Uyuni Salt Flats, a place where the sky and the earth merge in a breathtaking spectacle. Upon arrival, we’ll get ready to enjoy an experience of pure magic and tranquility.
Depending on the tour option you choose, we’ll admire how the colors of sunrise or sunset paint the horizon with dazzling or golden hues against the vast white expanse. We’ll also experience the famous mirror effect (especially striking during the rainy season), creating the optical illusion of a surreal world where the sky is reflected in the salt flats.
Of course, the highlight will be stargazing. With minimal light pollution, the Uyuni Salt Flat is one of the best places in the world to gaze at the night sky. We’ll marvel at the vastness of the Milky Way, and with the help of our local Nomadex guides, we’ll take the opportunity to snap incredible, creative, Instagram-worthy photos that you’ll take home as an unforgettable souvenir.
After a 4-hour tour, we’ll return to the vehicle and head back, concluding the excursion in the city of Uyuni.
Activity Options
When making your reservation, you can choose one of the following options. Both options last 4 hours:
- Stargazing at sunrise: we'll pick you up at your hotel in the early morning (at 3:30 am from April through November or at 4 am from December through March). We’ll start by observing the starry sky, then watch the sun rise over the salt flat and experience the mirror effect. We’ll be back in Uyuni at 7:30 or 8 am, respectively.
- Stargazing at sunset: we'll pick you up in the afternoon (between 4:20 pm and 4:40 pm). First, we’ll enjoy the mirror effect and a spectacular sunset. As night falls, the starry sky and the Milky Way will take center stage. We’ll return to the city of Uyuni at 8:30 pm from April through November and at 9:30 pm from December through March.
