Do you want to know why Zanzibar is known as the spice island? Find out for yourself on this food tour, where you'll taste tropical fruits and other Tanzanian delicacies.
Zanzibar Food Tour
After picking you up from your Stone Town hotel, we'll leave the capital behind and head north into the Masingini forest.
After half an hour, we'll make our first stop at a spice plantation, where we'll learn about the cultivation of these popular condiments and their many properties. To find out why Zanzibar is known as the spice island, we'll try these Tanzanian delicacies for ourselves: vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, coriander.
We'll also taste some exotic tropical fruits, such as rambutan, durian, jackfruit or soursop: typical desserts in Zanzibar. You'll have the opportunity to try them, as you have free time to eat!
We'll end the gastronomic tour of Zanzibar dropping you off at your hotel in Stone Town.
The Zanzibar Food Tour includes pick up from hotels in the centre of Stone Town and within a 10-kilometre radius.
