Explore Cathedral Cove and bathe on Hot Water Beach: discover the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes of the Coromandel Peninsula on this tour from Auckland.
At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Auckland and set off on the two and a half hour bus journey to the Coromandel Peninsula.
The first stop of the day will be at Cathedral Cove Beach, which we'll reach after a 40 minute walk along the coastline. You'll be captivated by the spectacular views along the trail! Arriving at the beach, you'll soon realise why this place is so famous. If you've seen the Chronicles of Narnia, you'll also recognise it as a filming location from the movie!
Having explored the beach and marvelled at its impressive rock formations, we'll return to the bus and head to a local restaurant where you can buy lunch. Afterwards, we'll head to our next destination: Hot Water Beach. Do you know how it earned this name? The beach is on top of underground hot springs and if you dig a hole in the sand, hot water comes to the surface, creating your own thermal pool!
At the end of our tour of Coromandel Peninsula, we'll make the return journey to Auckland, dropping you back off at your hotel at around 7 pm.
