Activity Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. From here, we'll go on a 45-minute drive until we reach the community of Pogobamba, in the Chinchero district.
Once we arrive, we'll have a brief safety chat and provide the necessary equipment to take part in the activity. Once we're ready, we'll make our way to the Pongobamba viewpoint, where impressive views of Piuray Lagoon and the impressive peaks of the Vilcabamba mountain range await you.
To hop onto the flying picnic, you'll sit on a table suspended using 400-metre-long (1312 feet) steel cables. Once you're up in the air, hovering 80 metres (262 feet) high, you'll spend 45 minutes indulging in a delicious picnic, which includes a bottle of red, rosé, or white wine, nuts, a variety of fruit, and typical empanadas made of ají de gallina (spicy chicken stew), fried beef, and ham and cheese. Can you imagine tasting these delicacies surrounded by so much beauty?
After this exciting experience, we'll make our way towards Piuray Lagoon. Here, you'll have some free time to relax and observe the local wildlife, including various native bird species. This natural spot is perfect to connect with the peacefulness in the Andes and learn more about its biodiversity.
Lastly, we'll return to Cusco and we'll say our goodbye after a total of 5 hours in Plaza de Armas or Plaza Regocijo, depending on what you prefer.
Flying Picnic + Skybike
During the booking process, you'll be able to select the option that includes a 5-minute ride on a skybike, a bicycle suspended in the air.
We'll follow the itinerary described previously but, once the picnic has finished, we'll continue onto the skybike activity. You'll hop onto a bike specially designed and attached to steel cables, before travelling 800 meters round trip at an altitude that will take your breath away.
Afterwards, just like the previous option, we'll go to Piuray Lagoon before returning to Cusco and saying our goodbyes at Plaza de Armas or Plaza Regocijo.
