Discover the vibrant colours of the traditional Chichicastenango Market and let yourself be enchanted by Lake Atitlán, considered to be the most beautiful lake in the world, on this day trip from Guatemala City.
Chichicastenango Market & Lake Atitlan Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Guatemala City first thing in the morning and leave the bustling capital behind, heading in the direction of the Guatemalan Highlands, home to indigenous communities and spectacular natural landscapes.
Arriving in the traditional town of Chichicastenango, we'll visit its famous market, immersing ourselves in the lively pace of daily life here. Strolling through the different stalls, you'll find that you can buy almost anything here, from fresh local produce to handcrafted objects and textiles.
We'll then visit the Church of Santo Tomás, a perfect example of colonial influence on indigenous Mayan architecture and culture. After touring this place of worship, there'll be time for you to have lunch (not included).
Our tour will continue onwards to the lakeside town of Panajachel. Located on the shores of the breathtakingly beautiful Lake Atitlán, you'll be enchanted by the unparalleled views of the surrounding volcanoes, Tolimán, Atitlán and San Pedro.
At the end of the day, we'll make the journey back to Guatemala City, where you'll be dropped back off at your hotel.
Children under 3 years old go free and do not require a reservation.
