TLDR: fun & relaxing, but be mindful of the season! We went in early March and it was a bit cold, but still very fun. Our drive (Sandro) and guide (Hilton) were both fantastic, kind, and knowledgeable. We couldn’t visit the Benagil caves because of the weather & high tides, but we got extra time in Portimão and Albufeira instead. The Lagos boat tour (€25 per person) was super fun, but it is a small boat (beware of seasickness). Also beware that some places will only be open in the summer!
Mario was excellent! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We had great time. BUT this tour was scheduled in English (per webaite reservation information) and having a couple who did not speak a word of English and waiting for explanation in 2 languages was too much. It's company's fault for a schedule screw up and we did not appreciate it.
