Locorotondo Guided Tour & Mozzarella Tasting
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Piazza Mitrano and start our guided tour of Locorotondo's history and key monuments. We hope you're ready to discover the timeless charm of this beautiful Apulian town!
When strolling through Locorotondo's historic centre you'll be able to see its traditional white houses with their sloping stone roofs. These houses are known as the cummerse, a symbol of the Itria Valley.
As we walk through the town's alleys, we'll learn the origin of its name. Here's a clue: it's to do with the strange circular and labyrinthine shape of the old quarter. In addition, during the tour we'll see the façades of unique moments like the St George the Martyr Church, the Morelli Palace and the Clock Tower.
Before we say our goodbyes, we'll visit a dairy farm to find out how cheese and other local dairy products are made. We'll learn some interesting facts and participate in a mozzarella tasting - delicious!
After 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll finish the tour near our starting point.
