During the booking process, you can choose between the following options, which differ based on the type of pickup and the activities you'll enjoy while in Colonia del Sacramento:
Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Sightseeing Bus + Bull Ring
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Buquebus ticket desk in the Tres Cruces Terminal. We'll travel on a comfortable bus from this station, located on General Artigas Boulevard 1825 in Montevideo.
After a road trip of approximately 2 hours, we'll arrive at the Buquebus terminal located at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier, one of the most charming cities on the Uruguayan coast.
Once we reach the city, you'll board the city's sightseeing bus. This journey has 10 stops and lasts 50 minutes.
Stop 1 is in Colonia del Sacramento's old town, at the intersection of Ituzaingó Street and Arquitecto Miguel Ángel Odriozola Street.

All day, you'll be able to hop on and off the sightseeing bus as many times as you wish at any of its stops.
In addition to the sightseeing bus, you'll enjoy a guided tour of Colonia del Sacramento, which lasts approximately 50 minutes. This tour runs every day and begins from stop 1 of the sightseeing bus, operating at the following times: 11 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm.
During this walking tour, we'll visit the famous Calle de los Suspiros and pass by other iconic spots in the city, like the Basílica of the Holy Sacrament, the Colonia del Sacramento Lighthouse, and the Bastión de San Pedro. The tour will conclude in the vicinity of the meeting point.
This option also includes a ticket to the Colonia del Sacramento Bullring. The sightseeing bus's stop 6 is at this site, which opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6:30 pm.
At 7:15 pm, you'll need to be back at the Buquebus terminal in the Colonia del Sacramento Pier. Here, we'll board a bus that will take us back to Montevideo's Tres Cruces Terminal. At this station of the Uruguayan capital, our day trip will conclude after approximately 15 hours.
Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Sightseeing Bus + Bull Ring + Lunch
This option consists of the same day trip detailed above, but it also includes lunch at a restaurant in the old town called El Refugio. This restaurant opens daily from 12 pm to 4 pm and is located on Vasconcellos Street, number 200.
The menu includes a starter, a main dish, and a dessert. Drinks are not included, and vegetarian options are available.
Then, we'll head back to Montevideo and end the trip after a total of 15 hours.
Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Bike Rental
With this option, you'll enjoy a guided tour of Colonia del Sacramento, and once you reach the Colonia del Sacramento Pier, you'll be given a bike. You'll get to ride around the city until the departure time of the bus back to Montevideo, where you'll need to return the bike to the same spot at the Colonia del Sacramento Pier.
Afterward, we'll head back to Montevideo and end the trip after a total of 15 hours.
Day Trip Without Pickup + Guided Tour + Sightseeing Bus + Overnight Stay
If you choose this option, you'll enjoy the Colonia del Sacramento sightseeing bus and the guided walking tour of the historic center under the same conditions as those described in the first option.
Plus, upon arrival at the port of Colonia, a transfer vehicle will be waiting to take you to a 4-star hotel (Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia or similar).
After a lovely night, you’ll have free time the next morning to keep exploring or simply relax and enjoy the calm beauty of Colonia. Then, after lunchtime, you’ll be picked up at the hotel, taken back to the port, and finally board the bus that will bring you back to Montevideo.
Please note that the hotel stay only includes accommodation, without dinner, breakfast, or lunch.
The prices indicated in this option are per person in a double room.
Day Trip With Pickup + Guided Tour
If you choose this option, at the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Montevideo. Before leaving for Colonia de Sacramento, we'll pass through the neighborhoods of Capurro and La Teja, the emblematic Cerro de Montevideo, cross the bridge over the Río Santa Lucía, and head to the region of San José, a farming state known for its potatoes and milk.
After a 2.5-hour journey, we'll reach the outskirts of Colonia del Sacramento, where we'll make our first stop at the Museo del Lápiz de la Granja Arenas, where we'll also enjoy a traditional tasting of sweets and cheeses.
Next, we'll arrive in Colonia del Sacramento, where we'll take a scenic route to see the Real de San Carlos Bull Ring and the Río de la Plata. Afterward, we'll go on a 30-minute walking tour to see the main points of interest, such as the Portón de Campo, the Wall, Calle de los Suspiros, the Lighthouse, the Plaza Mayor, and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
Afterward, you'll have about 3 hours of free time to stroll around Colonia del Sacramento at your leisure and enjoy its exquisite local cuisine.
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Montevideo, where we are expected to arrive 12 hours after pickup.
