It was a wonderful morning, especially thanks to the professionalism and attentiveness of the guide. His knowledge, explanations, and help made it well worth it. His Spanish was perfect. Be aware that the descriptions on the Civitatis website don't exactly match what we actually did.

Tashkent Tours & Activities | Top Experiences in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, welcomes travelers with a unique blend of ancient heritage and modern city life. Known for its leafy avenues, bustling markets, and stunning Islamic architecture, it is an inviting gateway for anyone looking to experience Central Asian culture at its crossroads.

A Glimpse into the Past

Historically, Tashkent stood as a key stop along the Silk Road, connecting merchants and cultures for centuries. Despite being reshaped by earthquakes and Soviet influence, traces of old madrassas, mosques, and bazaars still reveal its rich past every corner you turn.

When to Visit

The best time to explore Tashkent is during spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is pleasantly mild and the city's parks and gardens are at their most beautiful. Summers can get very hot, while winters are generally cold and snowy.

Is Tashkent safe for tourists?

Tashkent is considered one of the safest cities in Central Asia. The local people are friendly and helpful, and crime rates are low. Of course, as in any destination, it is advisable to stay aware of your surroundings and take basic precautions.

Getting around the city

The city has an efficient metro system and plenty of taxis, making it easy to reach main attractions. Walking is also a pleasant way to discover the city’s neighborhoods and green spaces.
