Enjoy a relaxing day on two of the most beautiful islands on the Venetian lagoon: Murano and Burano. On the first island, you'll have the chance to see the artisanal glass blowing which still goes on to this day.
Murano and Burano Day Trip Itinerary
After meeting at 10 am on a central pier in Venice, we'll climb aboard our boat, which will cruise the Venetian Lagoon on a tour lasting approximately four hours.
After an hour's cruise during which we'll learn about the history of the lagoon, we'll make our first stop on the colorful island of Murano. There, if you wish, you'll visit a glass factory to learn about the glass making process, the star product of the island. Should you not wish to visit the factory, you'll enjoy an hour of free time to stroll around the island at your own leisure.
Travelling north on our boat trip we'll arrive at the fascinating island of Burano, where we'll spend around 1 hour. Here you'll have free time to explore its patchwork of coloured houses, and its great cultural and artistic heritage. You can visit one of the famous museums, such as the lace museum, and the many shops that sell the local 'merletti' as it's known in Burano.
Then we'll meet again at the Burano pier at 1:30 pm to head back to Venice, arriving at the Riva degli Schiavioni pier, next to Palazzo Cornoldi, at around 2:15 pm.
When making your reservation, please select one of the following meeting points:
- Santa Lucia Pier: (Ponte della Costituzione) next to the KFC restaurant at the Santa Lucia Station. Meeting at 9:45 am, departing at 10 am.
- Riva degli Schiavioni Pier: in front of Palazzo Cornoldi, 10 minutes walking from St. Mark's Square. Meeting at 10:15 am, departing at 10:30 am.
