Did you know that the "Virgin of Montserrat" was found in a cave? And that her monastery can be found on the "magic mountain"? Discover all this and more on this excursion.
Montserrat Day Trip
The tour meets first thing in the morning, hitting the road and heading to the province of Monistrol. Here we'll climb Montserrat, the striking Catalan mountain where we'll discover its imposing monastery, founded almost a thousand years ago in 1025.
Once we're there, the monks will receive us with a tasting of their very own liqueurs. Then you'll have free time to explore the area, considered by many to be an area charged with strange energies...
From here we'll also see the incredible views of Catalonia, and can enter into the basilica itself, where you'll find the figure of the Our Lady of Montserrat, known as 'La Moreneta'. And you'll hear the strange stories relating the UFO sightings here, or even the search for the Holy Grail!
Then you'll have some downtime to eat in a local restaurant, before regrouping at 3 pm to return to the meet point back in Blanes.
