Throughout this walking tour, you'll visit the most important food markets in Varanasi, getting to know the diverse exotic flavours of Indian cookery. You'll stop at street food stalls where you'll have the opportunity to taste more than seven different delicacies, including mouth-watering snacks like jalebi kachori, a syrup-soaked spiral-shaped sweet, chaat, salty fried dough mixed with other ingredients like potatoes or chickpeas, and panipuri, deep-fried hollow crisp balls filled with spicy ingredients.
You'll learn all about how Varanasi's most famous recipes are made, and how important this has been over centuries of the city's culture. To top it all off, enjoy a cup of chai, or Indian tea, in a spot with some of the greatest views over the beautiful historic centre.
