Golden Triangle 7-Day Tour

Let the incredible contrasts of India seduce you as you explore the most symbolic cities in the north of the country: Delhi, Jaipur, Amber and Agra. Visit palaces, temples, historic fortresses and much more.

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi

You'll be met from your flight at Delhi airport, before being taken to your hotel in the city to rest and relax for the following day.

Day 2: Delhi

Begin your Golden Triangle tour visiting the largest mosque in India, and one of Delhi's most beautiful religious sites: Jama Masjid, or the Friday Mosque. Admire its façade before heading on to the memorial built for Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat, and seeing the city's governmental hub on the ceremonial Rajpath boulevard.

In the afternoon, you'll see the Sikh gurudwara, or temple, before visiting the Qutub Minar. At a height of 240 feet (70 metres), it is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having explored the best of Delhi's historic and cultural sights, enjoy a delicious meal back at the hotel and an evening at your leisure.

Day 3: Delhi – Jaipur

Today you'll make your way to Jaipur, known as the 'Pink City'. See the intricately carved façade of the magnificent Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds, one of the city's most important monuments.

After checking in to your hotel, you'll head back out to visit the Albert Hall Museum, housed in a stunning Indo-Saracenic style building, and the equally beautiful Birla Mandir. At this temple, you'll have the opportunity to witness the Hindu ceremony of Aarti. After watching this intriguing fire ritual, you'll return to your hotel to eat and relax.

Day 4: Jaipur – Amber – Jaipur

Leave Jaipur behind first thing in the morning to head to Amber for a unique experience that you'll remember forever: riding up to the iconic hilltop Amber Fort on the back of an elephant.

As you make your way back to Jaipur, you'll stop at the City Palace. Explore the museums in this sprawling complex of palaces, pavilions, gardens and temples before visiting the fascinating Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory built by Rajput King Jai Singh. You'll then head back to your hotel in Jaipur for your evening meal.

Day 5: Jaipur – Abhaneri – Fathepur Sikri – Agra

Say farewell to Jaipur as you journey on to the ruined town of Abhaneriwhere you'll visit its famous stepwell, one of the architectural wonders of India. Your next stop will be the ancient imperial capital of Fathepur Sikri. Admire the immense complex, symbolic of the splendour of the Mughal Empire, as you explore its highlights.

You'll spend the second part of the day in Agra, where you'll see one of the most famous sights in India, and indeed, the world: the Taj Mahal. Discover the love story surrounding this magical mausoleum, and enjoy its majestic façade from the viewpoint in the Mehtab Bagh gardens. Eat and rest well back at the hotel, ready for another day of exploring.

Day 6: Agra

Today, you'll get to visit the inside of the captivating Taj Mahal. Admire the exquisite beauty of its elaborate decoration, before visiting the Agra Fort, a red sandstone fortress on the banks of the River Yamuna.

Learn all about the history and legacy of the emperors who left their mark on Agra, before returning to the hotel for dinner.
