Chueca and Malasaña Free Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Plaza de Chueca and, once everyone is gathered, we'll start this free tour.

We'll start off by walking past some of its best-known shops, many of them linked to LGTBIQIA+ culture. The neighbourhood stands out for the visibility of this group and its cosmopolitan spirit.

We'll then go to the Museum of the History of Madrid and, after admiring its baroque façade, we'll stroll along Calle Fuencarral towards Malasaña. On the way, we'll see the exterior of the San Ildefonso market, the Iglesia de San Antón and the convent of Las Recogidas.

The walk will then take us to the Plaza del Dos de Mayo, the heart of the neighbourhood. This is where people from all walks of life gather to enjoy the most authentic Malasaña. In fact, near here you'll find some of the bars that played a crucial role in the so-called Movida Madrileña of the 80's.

We'll continue strolling through the streets of Malasaña while we see the Lara and Alfil theatres and the Church of Saint Anthony of the Germans and walk along Calle del Pez. Did you know that this street is home to one of the most typical Malasaña bars?

After 2 hours of sightseeing, we'll finish the free tour in Plaza de la Luna.
