Choose between a daytime tour taking in Madrid's most iconic landmarks or an evening tour that shows off the city beautifully lit up after dark. Below you can see the different routes:
Day Tour
At the designated time, we'll meet our guide at a central point in the city and set off through the winding streets of one of Europe's most historic capitals, a city whose roots stretch back to the 9th century and whose cobblestones have more stories to tell than you might expect.
Our 2.5-hour tour takes us first to the Almudena Cathedral, the only cathedral in Europe built on a north-south axis rather than the traditional east-west orientation, and a striking part of the Royal Palace complex. Speaking of which, we'll also stop to admire the Royal Palace itself, the largest functioning royal residence in Europe.
From there, we'll make our way to the Plaza Mayor, the city's historic central square, which has served as a marketplace, festival ground, and public stage across the centuries. At its center stands the iconic equestrian statue of King Philip III, cast in 1848. Just steps away, the Plaza de la Villa is home to some of the oldest buildings in the city.
We'll also visit the Plaza de Oriente, an open-air garden lined with sculptures of Spanish monarchs from centuries past, right in front of the Palace complex. Nearby, we'll pass by the Opera House, one of Europe's great historic theaters since its opening in 1850.
We'll round off the tour at the San Miguel Market, a beloved Madrid institution that started life as an open-air market and is now one of the city's favorite spots for a vermouth and a tapa.
