Salta Free Walking Tour
Tour Details
We'll meet up at the designated time around Plaza 9 de Julio, the center of Salta, and the perfect place to start this 2-hour free tour.
Here, we'll admire the exterior architecture of the emblematic monuments of the urban city, such as the Architectural Museum of Alta Montaña, the Teatro Provincial Theatre, or the Cabildo Histórico. The Catedral Basílica de Salta is also located on this same square.
Depending on availability, we'll visit the inside of this Colonial Neo-Baroque temple. Here, we'll take in the Glorias del Norte Pantheon, where the remains of General Martín Miguel de Güemes or Rudecindo Alvarado rest.
Continuing on the free walking tour around Salta, we'll visit the Basílica Menor and the San Francisco Convent church. Did you know that the Campana de la Patria is inside? Its main materials were extracted after the melting of the cannons used in the battle of Salta, in February 1813.
