Formula 1 in Madrid: TAG Heuer Spanish Grand Prix 2026

Banked corners, long straights that favor overtaking, top speeds of around 211 mph (340 km/h)… Between Friday, September 11 and Sunday, September 13, 2026, Madrid will host the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, officially named the TAG Heuer Spanish Grand Prix 2026.

This new round of the Formula 1 World Championship will be held at the Madring circuit. It's a hybrid racetrack, combining urban sections of the IFEMA trade fair grounds with roads specifically built in the Valdebebas area.

The technical specifications for the Madring circuit certainly suggest an exciting race:

  • Length: approximately 339 mi (5.47 km)
  • Corners: a total of 22
  • Race laps: 57
  • Top speed: it is estimated that the cars will reach 198-211 mph (320-340 km/h) on the Valdebebas straight
  • Lap time: the qualifying lap is expected to be around 1 minute 32 seconds
  • Capacity: initially planned for 110,000 spectators, with plans to expand to 140,000

With your tickets for the 2026 Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix, you can watch live throughout the three days of the event as Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen battle it out on every corner to reach the top positions.
