East Iceland Jeep Tour
East Iceland Jeep Tour
At your chosen time, we'll come and pick you up from your hotel in Breiðdalsvík and start our jeep tour in East Iceland.
We'll begin by tracing Iceland's east coast to discover the beautiful landscapes here. The first stop of the day will be at Stöðvarfjörður, on one of the cliffs, to look out at incredible views of the traditional villages found in this part of Iceland.
Our jeep tour will then head towards Fáskrúðsfjörður. Before we arrive, we'll make a stop at the Hafnarnes Lighthouse, where we'll learn about the many fishing villages that have disappeared over the years, leaving this area practically uninhabited.
Along the way, we'll be able to see Skrúður Island from afar which, according to legend, is home to a troll. We'll then visit the Reyðarfjörður fjord and continue towards Egilsstaðir.
The next stop will be in Jórvík, a perfect place to visit an abandoned farm. Afterwards, we'll head to the Flögufoss and Beljandi waterfalls via a hiking route through some spectacular Icelandic scenery.
During the final part of the tour we'll visit Heydalir Church, a wonderful example of traditional rural Icelandic architecture. Our last stop will be the incredible black sandy beach of Meleyri.
After a 7-hour adventure in East Iceland, we'll finish our jeep tour and drop you off at your hotel.
